ABSENCE OR DELAY OF PASSENGER AT BOARDING/NO SHOW

The passenger that does not present himself or arrives late for boarding a fly for which was booked and issued the respective ticket or interrupts the trip, unless he has cancelled the reservation, at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time for departure, does not have the right to reimbursement, total or partial of the ticket price.

However, in case the air carrier makes a flight with all seats occupied, 80% of the price ticket shall be refunded to the passenger. In domestic flights in Cape Verde, for round trips on the same day, the period of 24 hours in advance for changing reservation does not apply.

According to article 12 of Decree-Law nº35/2006, of 26 June, which establishes the rights of the passengers, in case of denied boarding against their will, flight cancellation and delay and creates the respective penalties regime.
