Do I need to present any document that proves the negative result of the rapid test of COVID – 19 when buying a plane ticket?
No, you don't need to.
No proof of the fast test of VOCID 19 should be required at the time of purchase of a ticket, neither by travel agencies nor by airlines, because people can choose to purchase a ticket at the time they think is convenient for them, aiming at a better organization of their trips and the acquisition of more accessible and cheaper fares.
The test with a negative result is only valid if it is carried out within 72 hours prior to travel.
It is also important to bear in mind that a passenger with a positive rapid test and awaiting a PCR result cannot travel, however, a passenger with a positive rapid test and a negative PCR result can travel within the next 72 hours, as explained in the declaration that was issued by the Health Department.
And, in cases where the COVID 19 rapid test gives a positive result and later the PCR test also gives a positive result and the passenger cannot travel, regarding the Passenger Rights (revalidation/reuse or reimbursement of tickets already purchased), it applies the rules of the fare class acquired and the Decree-Law no. 35/2006, of June 26 - which establishes the rights of passengers, in case of denied boarding against their will, cancellation and delay of flights and creates the respective sanctioning regime.
