CLASS CHANGE

If a passenger is placed in a higher class than for which his ticket was purchased, the operating air carrier cannot request any supplementary payment.

If a passenger is placed in an inferior class than for which his ticket was purchased, the operating air carrier shall reimburse within seven days, by electronic bank transfer, bank payment orders, checks or, with a written agreement of the passenger, through travel vouchers and or other services, the difference of the value of the ticket, plus a compensation equivalent to 25% of the value of the ticket.

Pursuant the terms of article 9º of Law Decree - nº35/2006, of 26 June, which establishes the rights of the passengers, in case of denial of embarking against their will, cancellation or delay of flights and creates the respective penalties regime.
