FLIGHT INTERRUPTION

In case of flight interruption, the passengers have the right to:

The air carrier is liable for the ordinary expenses of transport, meals, accommodation and communication, from the place of landing until the nearest site which allows him to continue his travel.

Remark - In the event of self-assistance, you must request and keep receipts for the costs of meals/accommodation/transport in order to request reimbursement from the airline.

Pursuant the terms of paragraph 2 of Article 218º of the Legislative Decree nº 01/2001, of 20 August, altereted by the Legislative Decree nº 04/2009, of 07 September – which approves the   Aeronautical Code of Cape Verde (which regulates civil aviation in the country and its territorial waters, as established in the Constitution and in the law).
